|

|
Biblical interpretation is well summarized by 2 Timothy 2:15, "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." To understand God’s message encoded in the Bible, we need to learn how to properly interpret the various types of literature found in the Bible. For example, a psalm should often be interpreted differently than a prophecy. A basic principle in Biblical interpretation is to interpret the passage or verse we are reading in our Bible historically, grammatically, and contextually. Come and find out more about what constitutes sound Biblical interpretation. Why must we study the Bible in context? Why is it wrong to take verses out of context? We will analyze 1 Thessalonians in detail for our case study. |
