"LET US HOLD UNSWERVINGLY TO THE HOPE WE PROFESS, FOR HE WHO PROMISED IS FAITHFUL." Hebrews 10:23 God promises it, faith believes it, hope anticipates it, patience quietly waits for it, therefore rejoice in God's promises. Promises are God's best gift for mankind. They calm our hearts, direct our minds and guide our ways. They are ever-replenishing treasures that flow from the throne room of heaven for this life and the life to come. They remind us we are not alone and even if we find ourselves in the grasp of the giant of despair, they are the keys that unlock the Father's power. God’s promises are backed up by God’s character. The only weapon that renders these keys ineffectual is when we don't activate them. This is why the devil keeps us away from the Word with busyness, entertainment and social media. Promise deprived Christians are power starved followers. So get back onto the grid. Start each day with God's promises, live each moment drawing from its energy, end the evening thanking Christ for the promises that sustained you. A habit of constant reliance on His sayings is not only good for the soul but good for the people we live around. We become persons of peace to them as we trust in the faithful love of our Father. "So let's do it - full of belief, confident that we are presentable both inside and out. Let's keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps His Word." Hebrews 10:23-24 (The Message)
